It is okay to start over.

Have you ever set goals for yourself and get discouraged by continuously failing?  I don't think you are a normal human if you answer "No".  I'm here to tell you (and myself) that it is okay to start over and over and over.

I have been thinking about this a lot lately as I am working to get back on track with my health goals and business goals.  This year, this season, I am stepping back to gain a better foundation for my business so I have a clear vision and direction in how to serve others in a more beautiful and bolder way.   I will share more on that as this journey has just begun. I'm a little scared but also excited for the growth I know will take place.

It is crazy how this change is happening parallel to the theme of my quarterly prints... totally not planned, but God's timing is perfect and he knew when he placed on my heart this theme Seasons.

There is beauty to be found in all seasons, and I bet if you look back at those fails, you can see lessons learned and small quiet steps of progress.  I know this to be true in my life.  Spring, however, is my favorite season because it holds so much beauty.  The colorful flowers, the lush green grass, the fresh leaves that clothe the trees, the warmth from the sun, etc... are all beautiful, but Spring's beauty is deeper than what the eyes can behold.

My mother always talked about Spring representing rebirth/new beginnings in the cycle of the seasons, and that has always stuck with me.  Spring reminds us that there is hope in the darkest season's of life.  When life seems cold, dreary, and unbearable, a sprout of hope breaks through the ground escorting us into a new season.

 "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace."

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

 It is my hope that this quarter's print will serve as a reminder that no matter how big or small you feel like you've failed, it is okay to  start over.  Every year, month, week, day, hour, minute, is an opportunity to start fresh.  Yesterday is history, but what steps can your take today for tomorrow?
